Description: The central part of the island is the fertile field, while the rest is either stony or covered with underbrush, with the exception of the N part that is covered with alpine pine forest. The port of the island Porat is protected from bora and southern wind. There are several caves by the coastline, among which the most popular ones are Medvidina and Modra Spilja (Blue Cave) in the bay Balun, which since 1884 can be approached by boat.
